Your day-to-day (as an Insight Manager, you’ll):


  • Execute custom quantitative market research for Spiceworks customers using big data to complement traditional insights
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing science analytics team to manage big data analytics and develop best practices and processes
  • Design custom analytic projects keeping in mind what story the data will tell and how insights can be translated into action
  • Oversee all phases of custom analytic projects including client management, design, field management, quality assurance, data fusion/processing, analytics, and data visualization
  • Mentor Junior Analysts to help develop the next generation of insights professionals
  • Work hard, be creative, have fun, and get stuff done in an ultra fast-paced, innovative environment


What does it take to do this job?


  • 7-10 years’ experience in market research — preferably tech and B2B related
  • Experience with big data and/or emerging data sources (e.g., social)
  • Inside-out understanding of market research — sampling, design, data analysis, visualization, and interpretation are second nature to you
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect data to tell a compelling story
  • Stellar interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully with management, internal teams, and customers to make great results happen
  • Out-of-this-world project management skills — you can multi-task and complete complex projects flawlessly and under tight deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Inherent curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for experimental design
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Power user of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint


What will make this job easier?


  • A strong understanding of technology and IT, particularly B2B
  • Experience with advanced analytic design and interpretation (e.g., choice-based modeling, segmentation, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SPSS, Decipher, Tableau, and/or SQL
