Who you are: Are you an experienced producer who can pitch projects to clients in your sleep? Are you as comfortable scaling production as you are managing projects (from kick-off to final cut)? Spiceworks wants you! We’re casting our latest role for a Video Producer to helm projects for Spiceworks Studios, our award-winning in-house video team. If you’ve got leadership chops, know-how to manage every facet of a video project, and can keep a dozen plates spinning, you just might be the latest addition to our epic video team.


Top tech companies look to Spiceworks to create unique commercials, overviews, testimonials, and how-to videos for them. On track to produce over 150 videos this year alone, we’re looking for someone who can handle both client and internal videos from pitch to post-production with crews ranging from 3 to 30. You’ll build upon the celebrated reputation we’ve won in the tech video space as you help scale our existing rev gen production calendar. Think you’ve got what it takes? Auditions have begun!

Your day-to-day (as a Video Producer, you’ll):


  • Seamlessly manage end-to-end production of killer client and internal videos (product overviews, customer testimonials, how-tos, custom commercials, and brand projects)
  • Sell ideas to clients like a champ — amazing presentation skills are a must
  • Vet talent, hire crews, schedule shoots, and manage the post-production calendar for a dozen or more projects at a time
  • Handle projects and timeframes with absolute confidence and easily deliver polished results on time and on dime
  • Oversee production teams (directors, camera guys, talent, audio engineers, video editors, etc.)
  • Work with account managers to maintain (and even grow!) relationships with video clients
  • Scale production capacity to meet growing client demand
  • Travel as needed 50%-75%
  • Have a blast every frame of the way!


What does it take to do this job? 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience (preferably some agency) as a Video Producer
  • Out-of-this-world organization and project management skills
  • A firm grasp of storytelling and how to craft a compelling narrative structure
  • Ability to bring out the best in interview subjects, documentary style
  • Experience producing video for web or interactive mediums
  • Work well in a rocket-fueled, high intensity environment
  • Technical chops—knowing your way around a production from cameras to lighting to audio—are a bonus
  • A passion for film (movie buffs jump to the front of the line)
