Who we are:  For over 10 years, Spiceworks has been helping the world’s businesses find, adopt, and manage the latest technologies. We’ve also been helping IT brands build, market, and sell better products and services. Millions of IT buyers and hundreds of brands later, we’ve built the platform they use to get their jobs done and make them better at what they do, every day.

With our helpful tools, technical content, a global community of experts, and entertaining ways to blow off steam, we’ve got IT covered. And because we understand IT buyers and the businesses they represent, established brands like Microsoft, Dell, and CDW, to name a few, and the latest industry innovators including KnowBe4 and Scale Computing use our insights and technology platform to run smarter, more personalized campaigns.

In short, we’re making IT easy – and dare we say FUN – for everyone. Best part: we’re just getting started!

    Your day-to-day (as a UI/UX Designer, you’ll):

    • Touch on each part of the product development cycle: from brainstorming and research to designing high-fidelity specs and launching brand new products
    • Engage in product, interactive, and visual design
    • Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional teams (though projects will be yours to own and put your stamp on)
    • Constantly look to better yourself by learning new skills, participating in design critiques, and actively working to improve design within your team
    • Transform conceptual ideas into something beneficial to our millions of users
    • Create UI flows, designs, and experiences that deliver value quickly and simply
    • Solicit and give feedback to fellow designers in order to continually grow and improve the products we deliver to our users
    • Work alongside product managers and developers to champion, build, and perfect the user experience of a product from inception all the way to launch (and V2, V3, and beyond)

What does it take to do this job?

    • 5+ years in web, mobile, or product design
    • Robust portfolio of interaction design work
    • High level of proficiency in Sketch, Invision, and Adobe CC
    • An insatiable appetite for learning, equaled by a commitment to a “we-not-me” culture
    • Bonus points if you’ve ever worked in an Agile environment before!
